OYO 24392 Flagship Damodar Inn

Getting food was a problem. The restaurant was either closed or very late whenever we tried it. On the plus side, the rooms were clean, service was prompt and hygiene was good. The location is a major draw: it's close to Gandhipuram bus stop, which has frequent service and access to most important parts of the city, as well as the Railway Station.

I paid OYO in full for a room, but the hotel manager refused to check me in, saying there were no rooms available. The hotel apparently doesn't accept guests who booked through OYO, though I don't understand why it still takes those bookings. OYO didn't refund me after the cancellation under its policy, even after I explained what happened to customer care. I lost both my money and my peace of mind that day. Don't trust this hotel, the management is terrible.

The room wasn't suitable to stay in. It had mosquitoes, no bathroom heater, water that smelled like rotten eggs, and lights that didn't work properly. The bedspread looked as if another guest had used it just an hour earlier, and there was no TV connection. This was the worst room I've ever stayed in. If there were a zero-star rating, I'd give it that.

It's in the Khosbagan market/bazar area, and the price is okay. They don't have their own restaurant, but arrange food from nearby shops or restaurants. The staff were cheerful and worked with a smile. Cleanliness was excellent and service superfast. I'd like to stay here again.
