A very nice residency near the airport, with easy access to well-known places to eat like Anandhas and Star Biriyani, plus plenty of other options.

The service and management were awful. At booking, whether by phone or in person, they quote one room price, then ask for a higher amount when you check out. Room service was worthless. Don’t stay here or recommend it to anyone. A small lodge would be a better choice.

The room was spacious and tidy, with a wide window I could leave open all night, something I can’t do at most other places I’ve stayed. What made Castello my favourite across all my hotel stays was how quickly the front desk and room service responded. Today I asked for a pedestal fan instead of the cold Aircon, and they brought one in under five minutes.

I’d recommend The Castello Residency if you need somewhere near the airport, KMCH, or Passport Seva Kendra. I came by bus from another city, and it was easy to reach, just a minute’s walk from the KMCH bus stop. It’s also close to all three places. After I checked out, the staff even offered me tea while I waited for my cab. They were friendly throughout. I needed a dress ironed the next morning, and reception arranged it quickly for a very small charge. Breakfast isn’t complimentary, but they offer room service from the nearby vegetarian restaurant Anandaas at a reasonable price. I walked there instead, a one-minute trip, and liked the food. My room was very clean, with a comfortable bed, good WiFi and TV channels, and complimentary bottled water, coffee supplies, soap, shampoo, and a comb. Check-in was quick even though I arrived after midnight; the front desk staff was there waiting, so I didn’t have to look for him or wake him up. The only issue was a key card that didn’t work. Reception quickly sent someone to open the door with another key, then replaced the card the next morning.
