Ss Residency by OYO Rooms

The photos show one room, but once you arrive they take you to a different, much worse apartment. It wasn’t clean, the restroom was awful, and the pipes were broken. It’s an old mansion. Worst Oyo room I’ve had.

Avoid booking here. I arrived late while travelling, and the property manager refused check-in, saying there were no rooms. When I asked for a refund, he told Oyo representatives I’d been drunk and that was why I was denied. I wouldn’t trust these people. You may get neither a room nor your money back.

A waste of money and an uncomfortable stay. The AC and water heater didn’t work, bathroom water came very slowly, and they didn’t provide drinking water. The room and sheets were dirty, with lots of mosquitoes. The staff were rude and asked for extra money. I wouldn’t go as a couple, since it didn’t feel safe. They say it’s only suitable for bachelors.

When I arrived to check in, there was no receptionist. Nobody answered the phone either. After about 30 minutes I got a text with another number, and when I called the hotel management, they said there were no rooms. I showed my confirmation, but he said he wasn’t responsible if I paid online through Oyo, and that he could come help only if I paid an extra 1000rs for no reason. I’d already paid through GPay. He finally told me to meet him at a nearby bus stop. He was there with six men, and they argued with us and tried to send us away, then just gave me the customer service number. There should have been a receptionist available. The hotel’s customer service was the worst. I’ve already asked OYO to take the necessary action over how badly we were treated.
