I couldn't sleep because of the mosquitoes and cigarette smoke, and by 4:23AM I was writing this review. I arrived at 1AM and went straight to bed. The full body itching from the bed linens' cleanliness made it worse. The windows wouldn't close, so mosquitoes got in. The whole place smelled of cigarette smoke, and it felt suffocating. The taps and bath fittings looked as if they hadn't been cleaned since installation, and the linens and pillow covers seemed not to have seen water for ages. The toilet cleanliness is clear from the photos. The free parking turned out to be roadside parking, not a closed, secure lot. The property felt like a bachelor's lodge, more of a bachelor adda than somewhere for families. It's on a street in a remote area, and has OYO branding. I think Oyo will lose its name because of this hotel. Google took me to the front, but I was looking for "The Tydel Park Hotel" and could see only an OYO board and a Residency board. At 1AM, a few people I asked didn't know the hotel. I drove a little further to an HP petrol pump, where a man on a bike spoke to the receptionist and confirmed it was the place I'd been standing in front of. The lesson for me: spend a little more than 1500 per night, check the reviews, especially the bad ones, look at photos of the building, parking, and surroundings, and pay attention to reviewers' photos like mine. Sleep matters, and if you compromise on cost, quality will suffer.
