Cedar Cottage

The staff were always ready to help, with a smile, and were exceptionally courteous. Our rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the food was tasty with plenty of options and prompt service. Hotel Cedar Inn offers a quiet retreat from the busy parts of town, while still making the main attractions easy to reach. The hill views were stunning, and the hospitality and attention to detail made the visit memorable. I'd gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Darjeeling.

It's a lovely hotel if you're after a scenic setting, though it's a little away from the main shopping street. Pratibha Pakhrin gave thoughtful, fabulous service, and the other staff were courteous and friendly too. Mr Sanjay, the GM, was approachable and considerate. One thing to keep in mind: Darjeeling traffic during peak season is a nightmare, and you can spend endless hours in a vehicle.

The room view was beautiful, and both the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We especially appreciated the tasty, well-prepared food, including the HALAL food the hotel arranged specially for us. Staff were polite and helpful throughout. Mr. Nangia, the GM, was particularly kind, cooperative, and welcoming. I'd recommend Cedar Inn to anyone visiting Darjeeling.

The staff's attitude and quick service were excellent, and the property was well maintained. Rooms had most facilities we needed, breakfast was decent, and the shuttle drivers were great. The shuttle to and from the main city was a big help. The downsides: there's no gym, and the spa was closed. The location is pretty, but if you're outside shuttle hours, you'll need a cab from the city. We couldn't see the mountains from our rooms, even in sunny weather, because of current pollution. That's not the property's fault, but keep it in mind if you're expecting the views.
