Golden Mahseer Riverside Resort

Golden Masheer Resort in Majhitar, Sikkim, makes a peaceful riverside retreat for nature lovers and people looking for adventure. Its swimming pool is clean, spacious, and a refreshing place to unwind amid greenery and mountain views. The resort has comfortable rooms and cozy cottages set among gardens, combining modern amenities with rustic charm. Staff are friendly and attentive. The quiet surroundings and soothing sound of the Teesta River make it easy to relax. Its closeness to the river also offers fishing, birdwatching, and short treks.

I went swimming with friends yesterday, and the pool was in really poor shape. When I visited a few months ago it was good, but now it's green and full of algae. The maintenance is bad, and the pool is very dirty, as shown in the picture I provided. It could be better if they take maintenance seriously, but as of now I definitely wouldn't recommend swimming here.

The location is awesome and the pool is good, but the food is average. Packaged items like chips and juice are sold 5-10 rupees above MRP, and swimming accessories such as tubes, floating jackets, and trunks cost quite a bit more than average. It's a nice place otherwise, if they maintain it well.

The surroundings were mesmerizing, but the pool was very dirty and clearly not maintained properly. Green algae had formed, and bits of spit were floating around. It was alright the last time I visited, but the maintenance seems to have gone downhill. I hope they look into this, because the place has a lot of potential as a vacation spot.
