Hotel Pink Mountain

The location made sightseeing simple, with Mall Road an easy walk away for shopping too. Our rooms were very clean, in great condition, and comfortable, and the food was fresh, tasty, and enjoyable. Nehal, Sahil, Prayash, and Chyoggal were warm, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. Kamal Bhai was a friendly cab driver, drove safely, and knew the area well. We had a wonderful stay at Pink Mountain, Darjeeling, and would gladly return. Highly recommended.

We spent one night in room 305, which may have been poorly maintained. Water pooled in the bathroom and it flooded, and there was no exhaust fan. The room phone didn't work. Someone checked it and said the wiring was bad, but it wasn't fixed while we were there. They need to improve maintenance and housekeeping instead of defending the problems.

The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, and the room was clean, hygienic, and well maintained. Staff were courteous, attentive, and always willing to help, which made the service impressive. I had a lovely stay and would happily return or recommend the hotel.

The hotel is just a short walk from Mall Road and has a lift, which is helpful for older guests. From the rooftop you can get a majestic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga when the weather is clear. We booked three signature rooms and one family room. They were all clean and spacious; the signature rooms face the mountains, though ongoing construction in front of the hotel blocks the view from some rooms. Bathrooms were clean too. Hot water is available from 6am to 10am and 6pm to 10pm. Complimentary breakfast is included, but the food was just okay. Everything is vegetarian, and as this is a Jain group hotel, the taste may be a problem if you're a non-vegetarian. The overall experience was good, though they weren't attentive when we called, so we had to book through MMT.
