The room smelled bad the whole time, and the toilet was dirty with a faulty seat. We booked two rooms yesterday, but the jet spray didn't work. Hot water was missing even in the room we asked to have it in, and changing rooms didn't solve that. In the other room, the geyser ran out of LPG after one bucket. They wrote our booking on loose paper instead of keeping a proper register, and the staff behaved badly. A third-rate hotel.
It's right by Datia railway station, so you can walk there from the platform and skip an auto. The drivers may charge you Rs 100-200.
The staff were cordial, which was the one decent part. The place is isolated and the rooms are dirty. I'd regret booking here. Don't trust the ratings.
At night the staff deliberately cut the AC power and claimed there was a power cut, though there wasn't one. The whole property had a smell so strong it made me feel sick, and my room was badly kept. There was dampness in the bathroom, mold in the corners, and the sheets looked stained and grimy, like they hadn't been changed in a while. The towel was dirtier than a floor mat. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rates are like a three-star hotel in a metro city, but basic hygiene isn't met.
The rooms were tidy and cared for, and the service was great. Staff were helpful too. I really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to others.
