River Valley Resort

The view was nice, but it couldn’t make up for how we were treated. I stayed here with four friends, and the owner was rude and dismissive whenever we spoke with him. The hospitality felt absent, and we didn’t feel welcome. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a pleasant stay.

We were four friends, and the owner’s rude, arrogant manner ended up ruining the trip. The view is beautiful, but this place lacks the respect and service guests should receive. Avoid it if good hospitality matters to you.

The road down from the main road is rough and a painful drive, though manageable. Once there, it’s peaceful, with the river beside the property and mountains all around. Our room had an awe-inspiring view, and there’s a small waterfall nearby where you can take a refreshing dip. The pool was wonderful too, set in lovely surroundings. The property is large and relaxing, the staff are courteous, and the home-style food was delicious. A magical monsoon getaway for anyone wanting to unwind.

The rooms didn’t feel safe because the door locks were loose, and some basic bathroom items were missing. We also found the staff and owner unwelcoming. We were stopped from doing activities that other guests seemed to be allowed to do, which felt unfair. Getting there was difficult on the unpaved road, and reception made us pay upfront instead of at checkout. All in all, a disappointing stay.
