Gomti Residency

The service staff were the one good part. They were really helpful. But I wasted my money on an AC room where the AC didn’t work. The bedsheet and blanket were very dirty, the charging sockets didn’t work properly, and previous alcohol bottles and cigarette budds were still there. The lobby was full of drunkards, so it didn’t feel safe for a woman either.

The Wi-Fi was free, but unreliable at times, and the decent breakfast could use more variety. The on-site dining options were satisfactory, with dishes for different tastes. The convenient location near major attractions and transport hubs made it easy to get around, whether for tourism or business. Hotel Gometi Residency had clean, well-maintained rooms that felt cozy, and the courteous, attentive staff were ready to help. It’s a budget-friendly, convenient choice, and a few improvements could make the experience even better.

It’s a decent place and good value for money. Still, management could do a better job cleaning the room. The floor hadn’t been swept properly, and they could provide two or three tissues. The bathroom door mat was rough and didn’t do its job.

The location was the first thing that worked well for me: Hotel Gomti Residency is close to Dehradun railway station and the Clock Tower, with shops and restaurants nearby. I found it convenient for getting around, whether traveling for work or leisure. I had a positive stay and would return if I’m in the area. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the price felt fair for what you get. My room was clean and comfortable, though on the small side. It had a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a clean, modern bathroom with a hot water shower. There’s a restaurant serving Indian and continental food, a bar with beer, wine, and cocktails, a small gym, laundry service, and a 24-hour front desk. The cons for me were the small rooms and the lack of a swimming pool or room service. Still, I’d recommend it as a clean, comfortable, affordable option in Dehradun.
