Hotel Silver Rock

The location was very good, but I wouldn't suggest this hotel. Staff were rude and unhelpful when I asked simple questions, and seemed uninterested and inattentive. It took repeated calls to get basic services, and they acted as if they were doing me a favor. From check-in to checkout, things felt careless and disorganized. Poor communication among staff caused delays and confusion, and the service lacked professionalism. That's not what I'd expect from a reputed hotel.

Because of the manager's behavior, we ended up sleeping in our car with my 8-year-old son. The room cost 4200 rupees and had a water problem: little water came through in the bathroom, and what did come was boiling hot. We had tried to put up with it, but when we complained the manager was rude. He said he'd given us a discounted room and that there were no rooms available anywhere in the city. We found another hotel and asked for a refund. Since we'd paid by card, he gave us a void slip. When I asked what proof there was that the money would come back, he just said it would, without understanding the situation; paying another way seemed to be a problem for him. We couldn't move to the other hotel, and he wasn't apologetic at all. Room condition pictures are attached for reference.

It's an older hotel, but nicely built with open space. The restaurant terrace is a real plus, and the valley views are awesome from both the front and back rooms. Balconies would have made it even better, but that feature is missing. The rest was okay.

I was disappointed with my stay at Hotel Silver Rock. There was no complimentary breakfast or bottled water, and the 10 AM checkout felt too early and rushed. Management should fix these things to improve the guest experience.
