OYO 16006 Hotel Meedo's Grand

It’s still good, and the food tastes as it did before. I really enjoyed coming back after about 13 years. Back then Dehradun had only a few 5-star hotels, and this one was quite good, with excellent food. A foreigner from our office used to come here for dinner from his nearby 5-star hotel. The same manager recognized me over the telephone after all that time. The hotel needs to improve to keep up with the current age.

I had an issue with the room’s secret connecting door. Nobody told me about it, and I only found it by chance during my stay before confirming it with reception. The hotel was very average. The room on offer and the included breakfast weren’t satisfying for me. There were lots of choices on the food menu; I tried a couple and thought they were okay.

The location brings in a lot of footfall, and there’s a decent parking area that can fit around 10-15 cars. The hotel itself isn’t bad: rooms seem fine, and the service is okay. There’s also a small bar with a shady ambience, though the service there is good.

The staff were extremely cooperative, and parking is available. The hotel is near the market but away from the rush, with good rooms. Breakfast is included, made to order, and has limited choices. The in-house restaurant is good, and people especially like its Chinese dishes.
