OYO 5922 Hotel Charlene

The staff were good, which is why I gave the two stars. But the rooms are badly insulated, and in winter it felt like sleeping outside under a blanket. I could see my breath while tucked in, something I've never experienced in other hotels, which were warm and cozy. I even had to wear a cap under the blankets. They charge ₹500 for a heater, more than half the room cost. I'm serious, this isn't an exaggeration. I wouldn't recommend Hotel Charlene.

The location is just a lane below mall road, near the church, and really convenient. Rooms are spacious and inexpensive for the services offered, with a good view. Breakfast comes to the room, and the food is decent. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout.

It was a mixed stay. The room service was good, the food was good, and the staff were polite. But the bedsheets weren't properly clean, and the phone in the room, geyser, and Wi-Fi didn't work. The room was freezing, including the bed and blanket, so I had to wear woolens inside the blanket to sleep.

I paid just 800/- a day with all taxes included, and the stay, amenities, and service were great for that low rate. The room had two sofas and a table, plus a king-size bed with a double mattress. A really amazing experience.
