OYO 9162 Shobha Palace Guest House

The service was fast, and the staff were so kind. This was my first stay here, but it's already become one of my favorite hotels.

I stayed for two nights because the booking was already made, though at check-in they told me everything was fine. The blanket smelled, and the bedsheet was dirty, torn, and had lost its white color. The bathroom had hair everywhere, and the linen and bathroom were filthy. The geyser switch was outside the room. There seemed to be just one person handling check-in, cleaning, and serving guests. They even had him carry a screwdriver in his pocket all day. This was a complete failure in guest satisfaction. No stars. Please don't go.

It has a cozy, home-like feel, and I really love the place. The restaurant has a unique seating setup, and the food is great, especially the non-veg dishes. Five stars for the property.

Room and food prices are reasonable, so I found it good value for money. It's near Balli wala overbridge, tucked inside a residential colony. One thing that seemed odd was the receptionist asking both husband and wife for ID, so couples should bring the wife's ID too. Also, no one is available to attend to guests between 10 pm and 6 am.
