OYO Home 78709 Vibrant Stay Mussoorie

The huge lawn was the one good part. They advertise it as an “Oyo home,” but what you get is one room, and it seemed dirty. That room is tiny next to the oversized bed. It took us 30 minutes to find the place, even though the map said we were only 40 meters away. The location is hard to reach. Room service was a joke: no fresh water, no cable, and no help with the cable. Breakfast was clearly included when we booked, but the guy flatly denied it. The doors were crooked and flimsy, and the main gate was only three feet long, so the place gave me just a little sense of security.

This was my last booking through OYO. It’s badly managed, misguides people, and I hope other readers are careful booking through it. I booked one night in Mussorie for 30 Dec 22 at INR 1829 per night. When I called the hotel for directions, their representative said that rate was too low because they charged more than 4000 a night. He said I could pay extra for the room or find somewhere else. OYO customer care offered an alternate hotel listed at INR 5000 per night and said OYO would cover the roughly 3000 difference. But when I got there, it was just a homestay. The owner told me their regular price was INR 800 to 1200 per night. The location felt scary, had no lighting or reception, and the owner lived in the home. This was entirely OYO’s fault, not the property owner’s, who had set a fair price cap of INR 800. OYO was selling the place online for INR 5000+ and bluffing people.

There was no food, no water, no lighting, and nobody on the property. The complimentary food that was promised wasn’t provided either, so we had to manage everything ourselves. Geyser water was available only for a while, which was rough in that cold. After 6 pm the house looked like a horror place. There should be more lighting. I called customer service to book a room near OYO Hotel Winterline Inn in berloganj and made that clear to NIDHI. Instead, the representative booked me into OYO 78709, a frightening place, and gave me the wrong location. There was no staff available when we arrived. This was the worst service from OYO customer care. I can’t believe OYO uses this property. I’ll never use the app again, and I’ll post about this on social media and recommend that everyone use another hotel booking app or website.

There was nobody to check us in, just as earlier reviewers had said. The owner lives behind the property, and locating them takes what felt like super powers. The renovated rooms are old and quite small, and there was no drinking water.
