Pine Retreat

The old building dates back to 1916, and staying there feels like being in a beautiful, peaceful piece of history. There are spacious rooms and lovely views, plus a garden where you can sit quietly and watch sunrise and sunset. They also have a small library of very old books and a few indoor games. You can enjoy an evening bonfire too, and the food tastes good. I totally recommend the place.

The food was so yummy 😋, and everyone on staff was polite and kind. Such a beautiful view too. I’d happily recommend this place.

The access road needs a heads-up: the resort is about 350-400 meters from the main road, but the steep, narrow, winding route really suits experienced drivers. We were told it was a short distance and a good road, which didn’t match what we found. At the resort, service and food pricing disappointed me. We had to remind staff about the toiletries, there was no dessert option, and room service wasn’t available. The food cost a lot for how it tasted.

We were able to avoid the Mussoorie traffic even during the busy season, thanks to the resort’s location. A driver was also waiting to bring our car from the highway to the hotel. Our stay was peaceful, while still just a three-minute walk from the bustle of Mall Road. The staff were very humble, and our room service request was handled in under five minutes. Mrs Preeti and the whole team made a real effort to keep us comfortable.
