The Alpine Villa Mcleodganj

The room felt like a ghost house. Its windows looked either onto the road or into another room that was closed on three sides, and I couldn't tell if someone might be hiding there. We even saw a rat running around. The caretaker acted irresponsibly and pretended it was his first time seeing it. The restaurant service was awful too. The man there acted as if he owned the place, ignored us while we ordered, and took far too long to bring a menu even when the restaurant was empty. Despite asking repeatedly, he wouldn't clean the table before bringing our food. At checkout, nobody was at reception, so we had to open the door ourselves and leave. Nobody seemed concerned about our safety. Very bad experience with the man at the hotel and the person at the restaurant. Please stay away from this property.

The balcony view and rooms are the best parts, and the location is great. I was nervous after reading the negative reviews, but I'm writing this while I'm still staying here. The food at the restaurant is tasty and freshly made, and the staff are polite. We booked premium rooms. You do have to wait a long time for food since they cook it from scratch, but the taste made it worth the wait.

The staff were courteous and the hotel's location was perfect. The issue was room 103, which sits right next to a shared toilet. They'd sprayed a lot of air freshener in the room to cover the toilet smell, but it still bothered my family and me badly. The manager moved us the next day, though I don't think that room should have been assigned in the first place when they knew about the problem. Everything else was good.

Three families in our group stayed here for two days, and we were quite happy with both the hotel and the service. The rooms were cozy and well equipped, and the price was reasonable. The location and views of the snow-covered mountains are the real draw. Hotel Manager Mr. Rana was polite, attentive, and helpful with what guests needed.
