We’re from kolkata and stayed here for 2 days with my friends. The price was reasonable, and the location was fantastic. Beautiful rooms and excellent hospitaliry, too. The staff were so warm that it felt like a home away from home. We can’t put the whole experience into a few words. We should especially mention Rawatji. Highly recommended. Rajdip Konar and family

Hotel Rhodo Inn left me with a memorable stay, and I truly recommend it. The Himalayan view from the room was beautiful and mesmerizing, and the location was amazing. The room was excellent, clean, comfortable, and well maintained; the bed, sheets, and bathroom were spotless too. Staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, and responded promptly whenever I needed anything. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all outstanding, delicious, and freshly prepared.

The front view of the hotel was the only thing I could find to justify its 3-star rating. Maybe the rooms are better, but the service and behaviour we got weren’t what I expect from a hotel in this category. This is my honest experience, even if my one-star review may not matter much to them. It might feel luxurious to others, but it definitely didn’t to me. On the night of 28th December, five of us were heading toward Dhanaulti and planned to visit Surkanda Mata Temple the next morning. We’d hired scooties in Mussoorie, but the road ahead was empty, dark, and a bit scary, so we decided to find somewhere to stay before reaching our destination. We found what seemed like a fine 3-star property. With no rooms available on MMT, I booked a dormitory because it fit our budget. We arrived about half an hour later. There was a small check-in problem because the staff didn’t know about our booking, but we let it go. Seeing the dormitory was a disappointment. I’ve stayed in dormitories at places like Hosteller and GoStops, so I had certain expectations, and this one didn’t meet even basic standards. The staff acted as if we were staying for free. When I mentioned the poor ventilation, one staff member rudely asked, “Have you never seen a dormitory before? Is this your first time?” MMT listed amenities like a kettle, but none were there. For drinking water, they told us, “Bring the bottle, we’ll fill it,” which felt unprofessional. There were TV connections in the room but no TV, even though other rooms had TVs. Each time we raised something, the response was, “Cancel the booking, I’ll give you a room for ₹5000.” I tried calling MMT customer support multiple times, but the calls wouldn’t connect, so we had no support or other option. The dormitory seemed meant for staff and, because we’d booked online, that was where we were put. Cleanliness, facilities, and staff behaviour were all disappointing. The blanket was torn, which was unacceptable.

The food was nice, and you can contact the property owner with any questions. He’s quite kind and humble. The property is open for events of any kind, including destination weddings. For solo travellers wanting a cheaper option in Dhanaulti, the dorms are highly recommended and by far the cheapest here in the area. I stayed in a dormitory on 27th November, 2025. The location is perfect, with mesmerizing views from the cafe point and the luxury rooms. It’s an enclosed style of dormitory, unlike the ones usually found, and the bedding was comfortable. There were slight webs at the top of my dorm, so that could be cleaned periodically. I was on the ground floor, where there was no Wi-Fi access at the time. Private rooms are on the same floor, adjacent to the dorms. The caretaker assured me they’d get this fixed soon. The lobby and upper floors did have their proper Wi-Fi signals. I had to recharge at night for work because no Wi-Fi signal from the First Floor was reaching the ground-floor rooms. The doors have an automatic lock system that opens with a card, so be careful to keep your card with you before you shut the door when going out.
