Ashok Country Resort

I chose this resort for a meeting at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, and the location between there and Indira Gandhi International Airport, in the Kapashera area, was the main advantage. The property is set back from the highway, so there was almost no traffic or horn noise and I slept very well. There's lots of open space and big lawns, and the rooms are older but larger than those in newer boutique hotels. At about ₹5,500, it seemed like a decent budget 4-star option for the area. The pool on the lawn is small and shallow, and while the staff were okay, the service didn't quite meet 4-star expectations. Food was average for very high prices. Check the menu carefully: one bottle of water cost ₹89. If you want a quiet, spacious place to sleep near Yashobhoomi or the airport, away from highway noise, it works. Just keep expectations in check for service and dining costs.

The resort had a peaceful, thoughtfully arranged feel, and I had a really pleasant stay. My room was spacious, clean, well maintained, and comfortable for relaxing. Housekeeping was prompt and took care of everything nicely. Breakfast had a good range of fresh, tasty, well presented options. The staff were attentive and courteous throughout. Omkar deserves a special mention for being professional, polite, and helpful, and for making sure things went smoothly and I felt comfortable.

The beds were great, but the furniture and flooring could use better upkeep and cleaning. The rooms themselves could be a little cleaner too. We've stayed at other 4-star hotels around the world, so at that level I expected more cleanliness. The restaurant service was very good, and Manager Omkar handled it well.

Check-in took an hour, mainly because the receptionist came across as unprofessional and seemed to lack client management skills. Even after about 30 minutes, they were still asking for different documents and signatures, including hard copies. If you want an easy, pleasant stay before or after a flight, I'd look at other accommodations. This hotel didn't meet my expectations for value or professionalism.
