Capital O 445 Impress Hotel

The bottle tasted awful, so I spat the water out right away. It was sealed but smelled as if medicine had been injected into it. Management noticed the smell when I told them, and gave me another bottle. A staff member also saw a puncture mark. When I asked about the first bottle 15 minutes later, management said someone might have thrown it away. They apologized, but this was really disturbing. A girl wouldn't feel safe if something like this happened. I had booked two rooms at impress hotel last Friday. When we arrived, management said the ACs weren't working and moved us to a nearby hotel called Viva.

Impress is close to the airport, and we had a good room and shuttle service. The staff were good as well. I've stayed at a few Delhi hotels around this price, and they often don't provide basics like soap and tissue paper properly. Impress gave us all the amenities. We enjoyed our stay.

The room door kept locking itself even when we left it unlocked, and the lock may have already been damaged. The lamp plug was broken and patched with plaster, so the lamp wouldn't turn on. The AC worked, but its remote didn't, which meant I couldn't operate it. Oyo had overbooked, so we were lucky to get a room at all. The hotel car asked for Rs.500 to go to the airport, about 3 km away, or 10 to 15 minutes by road. I've booked through oyo four times now and haven't had a pleasant stay even once.

The front office staff and especially the lady manager need training in how to deal with guests. When it's her job to fix problems, she shouldn't misbehave with people, particularly when there are plenty of ways to resolve things. This is how they treat regular guests.
