This place doesn’t seem suited for families. It looks more like a spot for short-term couple visits, and the hotel staff stay in vacant rooms and drink alcohol all night. The manager ignored us when we were given wet blankets, and the blankets and towels smelled bad. Rooms had a strong odor too, with dirty bathrooms, toilets, and floors. There was no water pressure or water heater, and the service was very poor. The manager doesn’t care about guests or their needs. Never stay here, even if it’s cheap.

My family and I endured two nights at Dev Palace Hotel, and the place felt unsafe. The rooms were dirty and unkempt, with stale and fresh paint smells, and the washrooms had no locks. The AC was fixed at 24°C and barely helped: its flaps were stuck shut, so air couldn’t circulate and the rooms stayed stuffy and hot. Staff kept asking us for more money, which made the stay feel uneasy. The owners and receptionist were rude and disrespectful from the start, leaving us feeling unwelcome and ignored. We couldn’t wait to get out. There was nothing palatial about the place. Stay away, especially if you’re with family. Even the short list says it all: rude owners and receptionist, dirty rooms, a stinking paint smell, and a sense that you should run away. The AC cooling can’t be changed from 24°C, and the washroom doors don’t lock. They kept asking for money, and the whole place felt unsafe.

The manager was very arrogant, and the people here are frauds. The price shown on the apps isn’t what they actually charge: they ask for more or deny check-in. Luckily I hadn’t paid anything in advance online, or things could’ve been worse.

There wasn’t even a heater for Delhi in December. The AC couldn’t warm the room, and the hotel looked shabby and nothing like its website photos. The staff seemed focused on getting more money.
