FabExpress Gross Plaza

We reached the hotel at 11:30 PM to find there was no electricity. The one person there told me, "mai kuch ni kr sakta sir aap baitho light a hi jayegi." There was no power backup and no attendant, and the hotel was far from the airport. I've had good service from fab hotels before, which is why I booked this one. I think the good reviews here are fake, since the owner didn't reply to the bad ones. I want my money back. I had to pay 1000 more to book another hotel urgently, just for four hours, because I had to checkin to the airport at 5 am.

We booked three nights through agoda, but from the start the place felt shady. The street was dark and hard to navigate. When we got there, we waited about five minutes for the receptionist, who checked our confirmation and sent a room boy to unlock the gate. We waited in the lobby another five minutes while he checked with his owner and took our IDs. The lights were still off. He gave us three different explanations: first there was no power, then he said he was saving the inverter, and then he claimed he'd switched off the lights to keep couples away because it was New Year. That last reason made no sense. I was scared to death, so I quietly asked the room boy what was going on. He told us the hotel had no licence. I knocked on the neighbours' door, and they said they'd checked in the day before and had been locked in since morning. They'd also seen police checking the hotel and rooms. I decided to check out and contacted agoda customer to help move us since we were new to the city. The issue was escalated to the owner, who called and asked us to wait five minutes while they arranged another property. After 45 minutes, they said they had no room for us. I left and explained that I felt unsafe. If you're looking for a hotel near the airport like I was, avoid this one. I'll pay extra and challenge the owner if they deny the allegations I've made.

Our one-night stopover between an international flight and a local flight was at Gross Plaza. It was clean, budget friendly, and the service was great. Manager Aman was courteous and helpful. I'd stay again.

Wifi and Android TV were available, and the rooms were clean. Staff were friendly, room service was very good, and the room felt worth the money for the time spent there. Best hotel in this location.
