My father and I both had trouble sleeping, and we left after the first night. I know this is meant to be basic accommodation, but there are better places in Delhi for a similar price. I wouldn’t be nearly as upset if the beds had been more comfortable.

I stayed in room 301. A couple of things worked well for me: the firm mattress was a relief for my bad back, though other people may prefer something softer, and there were three or four bath and hand towels, lots of hangers, and good cupboard storage. The room rate included breakfast and wasn’t too pricey. It’s about a 5-7 minute walk from Saket metro station, exit no. 3, in a decent upper class residential area. There’s a shared sitting area on the third floor, plus a balcony for smoking and watching the neighbourhood. The stairs were a real concern. My room was on the third floor, there’s no passenger lift, and the winding steps are tricky, especially the diagonal ones in the dark. You could miss a step and fall. They should keep the staircase lights on all day, or install motion sensor lights. There’s a small lift for luggage only. The building and room are old, and it shows. The two single beds were among the smallest I’ve seen in the 30-40 hotels I’ve stayed at over the past 3-4 years. That made for very disturbed, uncomfortable sleep. I don’t know if the other rooms have the same beds, but as a solo male traveller, I’m aware people like me may be given the least convenient or comfortable rooms. The natural light was also deficient: the window faced a wall, and even the light coming from above was inadequate. I suspect the other rooms are similar, since the building is sandwiched between two others. These two problems matter a lot to me, and make me doubt I’ll return. There was an odd raised step near the toilet, and I kept stubbing my toe on it. There are so many switches in the room and toilet that it takes time to figure out what each one does. The old AC worked, but made a loud noise frequently. At check-in, the lady didn’t explain basic things like how the AC or toilet water heater worked. The instructions on the back of the door also contradict the email about things like breakfast times and the Wi-Fi password. Room lighting was adequate but harsh on the eyes. The bathroom/toilet smelled unpleasant, especially in the mornings, possibly because of sewage. The toilet lighting wasn’t great, particularly when shaving. The toilet is a bit old, and the exhaust fan should have wire mesh outside to stop mosquitoes coming in. I wasn’t sure what breakfast included. On the first morning, there was besan chilla, eggs, and toast. Others had apples, but I couldn’t tell if they paid separately or if it was included for everyone. The next morning there were only eggs and toast, so I was confused about what was on offer. On the day I checked in, I went for a walk and came back to find my room door open, with a lady and two technicians trying to fix the AC. My luggage was spread around because I hadn’t unpacked. Nobody called to ask if they could enter, which was definitely poor etiquette. If I’d known, I could have put my things in the cupboard. There are dogs in the neighbourhood, and some may be aggressive, as I experienced, so take care when coming back late at night. The owner's small dog may also walk around the property, something to factor in if you're afraid of dogs.

The terrace view was beautiful, and the whole stay at grace home felt lovely, really like being at home. We made Maggi in the kitchen last night, and the coffee had that same homely feel. Thanks to grace home family.

I felt at home at Grace home, even doing my morning yoga in the living room. The owner was very attentive, and breakfast was enjoyable. The terrace is nice, and there are plenty of facilities, plus more. Saket is a pleasant, very safe district, close to the yellow line métro station. I recommend staying here.

We’d happily stay here again, 1000%. It’s one of our favourite bed& breakfasts in India. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean, and the welcoming family who owns the place made it feel like home. The location is great too, in a quiet but interesting Delhi neighbourhood.
