Our first night in Delhi, and in India, was with Vinay and Veena. They were incredibly warm and friendly, with amazing family stories. We arrived at 7 am, exhausted from the flight, and they offered us breakfast before we chatted for a bit and went to nap. The room was perfectly clean, with a private bathroom and hot water, plus a portable heater that was handy on December nights. Breakfast in the living room, in the common area, was delicious and had lots of variety: toasts, chutney, omelettes, fried patties, yoghurts, and more. They fed us until we were completely full. It felt a little like visiting grandparents. The apartment is in a very safe area, and we always felt fine walking around. It was quiet inside too, with only birds outside, including some peacocks living nearby. Even though we stayed just one night, Vinay and Veena kindly let us leave our luggage there for 8 days while we backpacked around Rajasthan. I can’t say enough about how friendly and kind they were. I’d recommend this homestay to couples, families, or solo travellers wanting a quieter Delhi stay with warm, homelike hospitality.

The home-cooked meals were delicious and made with fresh supplies, and the place itself is peaceful, clean, and green despite being right in the heart of the city. Vinay sir and his lovely wife made us feel as if we were their own children in our own home. I stayed just one day, but had such a nice experience that I'd choose to stay here again whenever I come to Delhi.

What made the stay memorable was the people. Uncle and aunty were warm, friendly, and had plenty of anecdotes to share, and they made us feel at home. The rooms and the view from ours were pleasing to look at. Don't be surprised if a peacock wakes you at your window in the morning. It was a short visit, but a lovely one.

Vinay & Veena clearly host because they enjoy having guests, not just as a profession. They’re a highly educated couple, and their class and dignity are hard to find these days. The property and its location are excellent. We were a little apprehensive since this was our first homestay with the family, but the place pleasantly surprised us. We feel lucky to have found it and this lovely couple.

These hosts feel like the Indian grandparents I wish I'd had. They’re great people, and I’d happily stay again. I was able to check in when I arrived at Kashmere gate at 4:30 AM, and they served me a delicious breakfast. I stayed for one night, and they host just one room at a time. They were very accommodating.
