Homestay

I arrived around 4:00 AM and got my room in very little time. The place felt welcoming even that early, and the neat, well-organized room was comfortable. The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. The waiting area was well maintained, and playing carrom made the wait enjoyable. It’s a peaceful, safe-feeling place that I’d say suits families, children, and girls traveling alone. I’d recommend it for a comfortable, friendly stay near ISBT Kashmiri Gate. 👍

The bed hadn’t been cleaned, the blanket wasn’t folded, and it looked as if I’d been given it straight after the previous person. The tap was broken too. When my friend called about checkout time because my bag was still there and I was running a little late, it took several tries to reach the staff. Once I got back to collect my bag and check out, the short white guy at reception yelled at me and rudely asked why the person who booked hadn’t called. I had made the booking using my number, which I’d also written in the register, and that was the number we called. How can he yell like that? His behavior was poor. Train your staff.

The staff were especially helpful and accommodating, and the facilities were clean and good, with a lift. I booked luggage storage through the Lugsto website at Homestay, and the process was a great experience. It’s only a five-minute walk from Kashmere Gate metro gate 7, which is very convenient. I’ll definitely come back when I visit Delhi. Thank you.

The location was the only thing I liked. The room had no ventilation or exhaust, felt damp, and held onto smells for a long time. There was one shared washroom for everyone, which I didn’t feel good about. The dorms I’ve stayed in had one washroom per room, regardless of the number of beds, and these washrooms could have been cleaner. The curtains need regular replacement: mine had someone’s snot on it, and the curtain for the person above my bed had another kind of white spot. My bedsheets had stains that wouldn’t come out either. My bed was A5, and I checked in on 20th feb.
