Hotel Alaska

I was in the Karol Bagh market since 11 clock and needed a common washroom, so I asked to use theirs. As a woman, I understood that government rules say nobody can deny a woman access to a washroom anywhere. My husband said we'd file a complaint, and they just replied, “Go ahead, do whatever you want.” The staff were rude and had no basic etiquette. They claim the hotel is government approved, but I wouldn't suggest visiting at all.

It's a decent hotel, but it needs to improve its basic amenities.

The location worked well, about a 5 minute walk from Jhandewalan metro station, with Karol bag market nearby, and the staff were cooperative. We paid 1500 for a very average room, though, and it needs renovation. The bed linen wasn't clean, and whenever we showered, the washroom drain got blocked. Water took a long time to go down and pooled across the whole washroom. Room service was slow.

The location is good, and the tea and food were good too. But the rooms are small, and for 2023’s rate the place feels stuck in the 80’s. The working AC is an old window unit from 1980, with a dove nest inside that makes a weird noise. I wouldn't recommend it.
