The rooms were clean and nice, if a little small, but that's what you expect in economy class. I was impressed with the service before I'd even checked out. The next morning I went to reception for tea, planning to sit outside, and was unexpectedly told to call 121 and order it myself. I went back to my room and asked there instead. It arrived 15 minutes later, but it was coffee. Do I need to change my rating? Keep up the hospitality, you've got a long way to go.

For 1200r, I'm very happy with the room. They first asked for 1500r for a single, but came down to 1200r when I said it was over my budget. It's a nice, recently renovated place with a clean room, a large bed, and no hassles. The rooftop is pleasant, though small, with tables.

We were there for our workshop, but the owner started a rude argument without warning, using harsh language and narrow-minded words, including an insulting word for us. After apologizing, he kept shouting at us and behaving rudely. They also yelled at us, saying we were disturbing their foreigner customer. One staff member in particular was rude and kept watching us for no reason. We felt bad during the stay. Very disappointing.

The place is now called Hotel Kaushal Palace. Its location near New Delhi railway station (NDLS), on the Paharganj side, is good. The staff were nice, and room service was good; the bathroom was clean too. The main drawback was the size: the room was very small, and even the family room was tiny. I booked room 304. Otherwise, everything was okay.

Even with a prepaid booking, we got a dirty room and a bathroom with a leaking roof. The AC and phone were disconnected, and fab hotel customer care didn't bother helping either. Terrible experience. I took pictures of the room and will upload them too.
