Hotel Cardinal Express OXMO Delhi Airport

There was so little sound insulation that we could hear people talking in their rooms, and the place was very noisy. The rooms were okay, but the bathroom was dated and horrible. Water from the shower spread all over the bathroom and into the room. An agent booked it as a 4-star hotel; I'd give it 3 stars or less.

The deluxe room had no window, which made it feel claustrophobic. Other guests were making a lot of noise, and management couldn't control it even after I raised the issue, so I couldn't sleep. People should remember that others are staying at the hotel too, and management should take firm action. The hotel itself was nice and the reception staff were friendly. Service was fine, food was tasty, and the room was clean and well maintained.

I usually don't leave reviews, but this happened only after I arrived and spoke to reception. They asked what I'd paid online, then said the hotel's price was ₹4000 to ₹10000 and wanted me to pay the difference before they'd let me check in. If I'd booked for ₹3000, for example, they'd demand another ₹1000. If I refused, they told me to cancel the online reservation and book directly at the hotel for ₹4500. It seemed like a scam. If there was a problem with the online booking, they should have told me before I got there.

The rooms were dirty, and the construction looked very poorly done. They need professional staff to maintain the hotel. It's close to the airport, but the area is noisy and the food is expensive.
