Hotel City Pride

Madan gets five stars from us. He was punctual and professional as our driver on the Delhi tour, showed us hidden gems, and even introduced us to his family. It made for a truly authentic, unique experience, and we highly recommend choosing him for a memorable visit to Delhi. The hotel staff were attentive and always available. They helped organize part of our trip and shared useful tips about transport, attractions, and restaurants, which made the stay stress-free. Highly recommended!

For $30US/night, this seemed like a genuinely decent and legit choice. Other nearby hotels had five-star Google Maps ratings that seemed fake. The bed was comfortable, the AC and fan worked well, the room was a decent size, and having a kettle was useful. Breakfast was great, with hot savory options plus an omelette or pancake made to order. They could also arrange sightseeing and transport, though we didn't use those services. There were some problems: the shower door leaked across the bathroom, even though water pressure and hot water were good. The toilet seat was broken and didn't look like it would ever get fixed. They were stingy with toilet paper, some bedsheet spots were stained, and the towels were old and threadbare. The room faced a back alley, so we avoided traffic noise, but stray dogs hung around barking all night. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and communication through the Booking.com app and WhatsApp was good. It's five minutes on foot from Delhi railway station. The driver for the "free" airport pickup waits with your name on a card, which is handy, but you have to pay his parking fee, around 400-500 rupees.

Lots of good restaurants are nearby, and the metro is within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Great price, service, room, and location, and the included breakfast is a lovely way to start the day. Easily the best value hotel in New Delhi.

We stayed here for six nights in total, coming and going during our 15-day trip. We don't usually return to the same hotel, but we came back because they delivered so well and lived up to the reviews and ratings. Booking a Delhi hotel normally takes a lot of planning for us, but the staff here made our trip special. Airport pickup was seamless. Mr. Rajkumar, the best driver here, was waiting with our name card and was easy to find. At reception, Mr. Shyam was hands down the best manager, respectful, welcoming, and accommodating. Thank you all! ❤️❤️❤️
