Hotel Crown Continental

There was no proper lock on the door. When we raised the issue, the manager casually told us to leave the room open when we went out. That's completely unacceptable and made us seriously concerned about safety. The room was also full of mosquitoes, lacked basic hygiene, had wires hanging openly, no proper plug points to charge a phone, and a nonworking geyser. The manager and owner were unprofessional, and the place felt like a scam. They advertise low prices on OYO, then demand extra money when you arrive. They also switch off the WiFi router and claim the internet isn't working. Several other guests had the same complaints and arguments with them. This place is unsafe and dishonest, and isn't fit for anyone to stay. Avoid it at all costs.

The bed sheets were unhygienic, and the mattress felt like thermocol placed on the bed. There was no hot water. The AC remote was kept at reception, so I had to call them whenever I wanted to turn it on or off. Every night, staff switched the AC off from reception. When I called to have it turned back on, they claimed there was no electricity and that the AC was running on UPS. They gave me the same excuse every night. The OYO app first showed only the pre-booking amount, which misled me into booking. I'd stayed for 3 nights and spent over ₹4,000. I paid ₹1,600 first, then the app showed another ₹2,400 due, making the total much higher than I expected. Room boys kept asking me for cash for tea, which was unpleasant. Housekeeping staff made loud noises in the corridor even at midnight, and delivery boys knocked so hard it felt like they were breaking the door. Please be careful and don't let OYO or hotel staff mislead or fool you the way they did me.

I booked this property for a female colleague, and she had one of her worst experiences. The washroom and main door locks were broken, and what the OYO App showed was different from the actual place. The hotel management was terrible. I'd never suggest anyone stay there. It seemed to be used only for couples for their enjoyments.

The walls had severe dampness, peeling paint, and mold, and the broken wall mirror was a safety hazard. The room looked nothing like the advertised photos and was unsafe and unfit to stay in. This was the worst experience of my life at SPOT ON Hotel O Crown Continental. The hotel charged me ₹750 as a "penalty" for not having a hard copy of my ID, which I consider illegal because OYO's policy mandates cancellation, not fines. When I complained, OYO sent a fraudulent email, and I have proof, claiming I'd submitted the ID later, apparently to cover up the charge. I've filed a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). For your safety and to avoid being defrauded, I strongly advise customers never to book this hotel.
