Hotel De Gold

The hotel is in the lively Karol bagh Area and is easy to reach from ISBT and the railway station. The staff were courteous, and the Hotel GM kindly arranged our room change right away. I hope to stay here again, and wish the staff all the best in keeping up their good work.

The stay itself was okay, at an okay-ish hotel near Karol Bagh, but the booking communication was a mess. I got a number from Google and called someone without knowing exactly who they were. I clearly said we needed early check-in and early check-out, and was told to pay the full amount. I did, and confirmed this more than once. At the hotel, the receptionist said early check-in would cost another ₹800. The person I'd spoken with was from customer care, not the hotel. We were short on time and had planned everything already, so I paid. I had also paid ₹400 in advance in the app. For the total price, I could have booked a much better hotel. The receptionist's attitude was basically pay or leave, which was very disappointing. The customer care executive I'd spoken to didn't respond to my calls or messages afterward. I booked on the FabHotels app, and for just 10 hours we paid a full day's room charge plus ₹800 extra, because customer care and reception hadn't communicated properly. Please make sure special requests from customers reach the hotel staff. This was a terrible experience with both FabHotel customer care and the reception staff.

A good stay for an affordable price, and both the rooms and washrooms were clean. They don't provide even one bottle of water for free, though, and charge 10% service charge on every item you order in the room, including a water bottle.

The location was convenient and well connected, and check-in and check-out were both seamless. I stayed from 20th to 23rd and found the room comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Staff were courteous and professional. A very satisfactory stay for the money.
