Hotel Heritage

What should a hotel provide when we pay the listed rates and taxes to stay away from home? A clean, maintained room with fresh linens and towels, running water, electricity, and basics like Wi-Fi, a TV and toiletries. We also expect a safe environment, secure entry, CCTV and in-room safes, along with friendly staff, prompt room service, and efficient check-in and check-out. Facilities like a lift or restaurant should be available depending on what the hotel offers. As customers, we need clear billing without hidden charges, value that matches the tariff, and staff who respond promptly to questions and concerns. Hotel Heritage needs some careful attention and should adopt newer technology.

The staff were helpful and courteous, and it felt like a safe place for women travelling alone. The location was good and easy to reach. My room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was clean and comfortable.

We arrived at 11 night, and the lift wasn’t working, so getting to the 3rd floor was difficult. The rooms hadn’t been cleaned. When we asked, they changed our room, but that one was unclean too. The bed sheet and cover had burn marks and hair on them. The geyser leaked, the fan didn’t work, and the AC wasn’t cooling. We stayed just the one night and checked out the next day. The staff behaved well, but for the price they quote, nothing else makes this hotel worth staying in.

There was hair on the bedsheet, and at 2.45am I was awake killing mosquitoes. I’d got 7 so far and counting. Even with my bare minimum needs, this place has failed badly. BEWARE!
