Room-hotel Mayank Plaza-near IGI Airport

I booked two deluxe rooms through the Agoda app under “Mayank Plaza.” At 1:00 am, when my family arrived from the airport to check in, they were taken to Hotel Sky view. They demanded an extra 1600 as city tax. Since it was the middle of the night, I paid. The AC in the room didn’t work, and although I complained to reception, they hadn’t fixed it by 2:00 am. They offered just one table fan in the summer. I also complained to AGODA, but they didn’t resolve it either. The Agoda listing showed lots of facilities, but they weren’t there. The room was dirty, the bathroom wasn’t clean, and there was no hot water kettle. I’m 100% sure the property people and Agoda are ripping people like me off and fooling us. Agoda also settled my review in their “review column.” Check other properties before choosing these: Hotel Mayank residency and Hotel Sky view.

The rooms are quite good, but they aren’t cleaned regularly, and some bathroom taps don’t work. The WiFi signal was good enough for me to watch TV, and the location near the airport was very convenient. The online booking had hidden charges, though the rooms are generally worth the fare.

There’s no food arrangement in the hotel, so staff order from outside and the wait gets long. It’s better to go out to eat. The room was dirty, insects were crawling around, and front desk support was very poor. I’d look for another hotel, since they charge an extra 600-700 even if you paid through booking apps, which mention the same charge too.

There wasn’t even a proper hotel name board at the location, and the management was rude. I saw staff drinking in the morning. For a very short stay, I paid around 1,155 per room, and it wasn’t worth it. The photos on the app were misleading, the room wasn’t cleaned properly, and the door didn’t have proper security since anyone could open it without a key when you left. Agoda didn’t show the city tax amount. We assumed it would be a normal 5%-18% tax, but after booking two rooms for ₹912, the property demanded another ₹1,398 as “city tax” at check-in.
