Hotel Nanak Residency

I had two sleepless nights because the hotel manager would switch off the power early in the morning to save electricity. The bed cushion springs were sticking out in several places, and I think the toilets hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. I’ve never stayed in such a horrible hotel. Don’t ruin your trip by trusting the paid reviews and photos on OYO.

There’s an orange cat around that’s somehow friendly. I saw a couple and 3-4 liquor bottles, so whether you stay with family is your call. They’ll show their true colors after you pay the advance. To save money, they switch off the MCB for your room whenever they pass the switch, so the AC, fan, and lights go off in the middle of your sleep. The rooms aren’t clean, and they don’t provide toilet items. Get the room price in writing because they create a fuss when it’s time to bill.

The photos are altered, and none of the rooms look like what’s shown. Rooms shouldn’t cost more than 500 a night. There were cockroaches everywhere, no room cleaning, and no hot water. The service was awful. They didn’t bother when I asked them to clean or provide towels.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty. Karol Bagg Metro Stations are very close, as is New Delhi Railway Station. We stayed in May, and check-in went smoothly when we arrived. The rooms were spacious and meaty. We really enjoyed the stay and will come back when we’re in Delhi.
