Hotel O South Plaza

I paid through Agoda for a room for my friend’s parents, but at check-in the receptionist said there was no booking. Once I showed the receipt, he saw it was already paid online and still demanded another 1500, saying I could either pay or cancel and leave. Since it was already nighttime, I paid. The next day I saw the room he’d given them, and it was awful. The attached photos show what it looked like. Stay away from these guys.

The hotel South O Plaza and Agoda customer care were both terrible. I showed Agoda proof that I had booked and paid for another nearby hotel, but they still couldn’t verify what I told them. They claimed I’d never gone to check in, even though I had. At the hotel, they said there were no rooms, told me to get off the property, and said I should come back tomorrow. My booking was for the 14th, but they wanted me to check in on the 15th. The owner was drunk when they refused me. I’d already paid for this booking, so why would I go somewhere else? The whole thing was cheap and awful.

There was no attached bathroom or shower. Check-in was awful too: the hotelier demanded almost double in extra money and wouldn’t let me check in otherwise. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I booked for two days, but the stay was so bad I had to check out early. There was no electricity, no staff, and they didn’t even provide basics like water or a towel. Pathetic experience.
