Hotel Prem Deluxe Guest House

For a solo stay, it’s just okay. I wouldn’t recommend bringing family. The AC power gets cut often, and they say it’s because of a power failure while the generator is switched on.

The room smelled bad and was dirty, with insects inside. Nothing seemed to work properly: the door locks were faulty, the sink drain was broken, and the toilet was dirty and damaged. Tap water was dirty too. There was no cleaning or room service, and the window was somewhat see-through. They said the AC would run all day, but kept turning it off at different times. Washing clothes also came with a 50 rupee fine, so it wasn’t easy to wash anything.

The location is about a 5-7 minute walk from NDLS station, and the double bed was big enough for three adults to spend a night. The non-AC room cost Rs.700/-. The rooms were somewhat dirty and run-down, and the toilets and bathrooms were quite dirty too. The manager and attendants were extremely rude and completely unhelpful, acting like they were above everyone else. This may suit budget travelers who don’t care much about cleanliness or comfort. I don’t know whether they have deluxe rooms. The bed was full of bed bugs, so expect sleepless nights. Stay away, whether you’re traveling alone or with family.

There was no hot water in the bathroom, though they could bring some in a bucket, and the washroom was dirty with a water leak. The bed was crawling with bedbugs, so you’re likely to have a sleepless night. The whole property was shabby, in a bad location, and so dirty I didn’t want to touch anything. I’d give this guest house zero stars. Maybe a solo backpacker could use it if nothing else is available anywhere in Paharganj, but I wouldn’t recommend it to families. Look for another hotel on the main road.
