Hotel Sai Palace

The room problems were bad enough on their own: dirty bedding, a filthy fridge, fungus on the bathroom cabinets, no hot water, unreliable Wi-Fi that disappeared for hours, and a TV with no channels. Water also dripped from the ceiling onto the middle of my bed every few minutes. The breakfast listed as included wasn't provided, either. Six months ahead, I booked two Superior Double rooms for seven nights through Sai Palace's own website, hosted by Zuzu Hospitality Solutions PTE Ltd. Zuzu is a real, reputable company that handles direct hotel bookings. I paid INR9,060 in advance, averaging 1,294 per night. Two days into our stay, the manager said there was no booking and no payment. I showed proof, but he said I'd paid a scam company. By then Sai's website had vanished. The night before checkout, I was made to pay another INR2,300 per night, INR16,100 total for the two rooms. They pointed to the same rooms listed on Hostelworld as Bunk Hostel Delhi, and said Sai Palace no longer existed. Yet I found Sai Palace still advertising my rooms on Agoda for INR1,114 per night before discount and INR695 after discount. In the end I paid INR25,160, or INR3,594 per night, for rooms listed that day at a total of INR4,865. Now I have to try to get the original INR9,060 back from my credit card company. I believe SAI PALACE is running a scam, a clever one, but still a scam. I can't speak to their bunk beds, but if you want a room, I'd go somewhere else.

The location is convenient, within walking distance of the railway station, but the management doesn't seem to maintain the place. The rooms, bathrooms, beds, AC, floors, and room service were all in terrible shape. Don't drink the hotel's water. There's no lift, and when I asked for the room to be cleaned, they ignored me and only cleaned it after I checked out for the next guest. I had a very bad experience with my family a couple of months ago, so please check the room before you move in.

Nice food and a comfortable bed, plus a good bathroom. A pleasant hotel for business travelers, with good management.

The hotel was excellent, and the food felt very healthy.
