Goibibo did refund me, but the ₹700 coupon they offered to settle things felt insulting and nowhere near enough. A refund doesn’t undo the wasted time and the way the trip was disrupted. My main concerns are the listing, the lack of hygiene checks, and the lack of accountability. Does Hotel Silver Stay actually exist as advertised, who checks these places before listing them, and how does Goibibo make up for more than just the booking cost? I can’t recommend booking through them unless they make sure listings are genuine and properties meet basic hygiene standards. I booked Hotel Silver Stay on Goibibo for my Delhi trip, but when I arrived, I was moved without consent to Hotel Galaxy Inn. The place was awful: the corridors smelled foul, the rooms were dirty and unhygienic, and the bathroom commode had been used and left unflushed. There was dust, grime, and staining everywhere. They showed me another room, but it was in just as bad a state. The experience ruined my day and the trip.

When we complained, the receptionist was extremely rude. We’d booked a ground-floor room with breakfast, but were first given a room on the third floor, with no breakfast, and the room was dirty and smelled bad. The hotel had been listed online as “Silver Stay,” though the person we contacted said it was actually “Galaxy Hotel.” They later moved us downstairs, but that room had a faulty air conditioner and water dripped onto the bed. We waited from 8 AM until 11:30 AM for a clean, working room. The next room they gave us was on the second floor, and there was no water in the bathroom. When we reported it, they brought a bucket of dirty water. I also saw cleaning staff sleeping in a guest bedroom, which seemed unhygienic and unprofessional. The airport ride was another problem. The receptionist arranged an Ola booking for us and insisted the fare would be Rs 185, or at most Rs 190. At the airport the driver demanded Rs 825. From check-in to check-out, the rooms and staff left us extremely disappointed. This was one of my worst hotel stays, and I strongly advise against staying here.
