Hotel Urban Lion - Delhi Airport

The receptionist was rude, pathetic, and self-centered, and the room they gave us was awful. I paid 1,320 for room service, but the room hadn’t even been cleaned. They took out the trash only after I came in. I complained and got moved to another room, but that one was horrible too. I couldn’t charge my phone because the switch boards turned on the lights whenever I switched on the charging port. This was the worst stay I’ve ever had. I’d tell people to find another hotel and avoid this one if they want a decent stay. 👎

I had a confirmed booking, but at the scheduled check-in time the staff refused to let me in and gave no valid or reasonable explanation. They made me wait, then denied me accommodation altogether, causing major stress and disruption to my trip. I’ve filed a formal complaint with Goibibo and also with the Consumer Court. To me, this is cheating customers. The hotel’s conduct felt misleading and unprofessional, and reflected very poor management and unethical practices. I’d warn future guests to avoid booking here if they value their time, money, and peace of mind. It could completely wreck your travel plans, so book at your own risk. Extremely disappointing, and I’d never recommend this place.

They also don’t provide a proper bill for the extra payment: first they say it’ll come at checkout, then at checkout they claim the accountant is on leave and promise to send it on WhatsApp. Nothing ever arrives. This feels like a pattern, not a mistake. Even after prepaying through Agoda, I was asked for more money under the name “service tax.” Service charge is NOT mandatory under Indian government rules, yet they make it a condition of check-in. These charges are tucked into tiny text at prepayment, easy for most people to miss. It feels like a coordinated setup to attract customers with one price and squeeze more from them at the property, with commissions and inflated final amounts benefiting them. Be careful booking through Agoda, and don’t let urgency push you into this. There are more transparent options at the same price. Avoid hotels like this.

They’re so irresponsible. Even though I’d fully paid for a booking through Agoda, they said every room was occupied and refused to give me one. Agoda was still showing rooms available. There was no proper communication or response, and they were careless about the whole thing. Be careful booking here. If you have no choice, check repeatedly, or just don’t book.
