Hotel Srivinayak

The staff were polite and went out of their way to help. They even offered to look after our luggage after checkout while we went to explore Delhi. I had an amazing stay and highly recommend it.

The hotel is around 150 meters from the exit gate of New Delhi railway station, and the rooms are spacious, but not good. Service is poor, since they don't provide basic things. The manager was very rude, though a few staff members were good. There's a basic kitchen at the back, and the tea and coffee were good.

The staff were good and the service was good, but I had one bitter experience. I booked a Swift Dzire taxi to the airport through the hotel for 800/-. As usual with Delhi drivers, he said I had to pay another 150 for AC. I'd suggest booking Uber Excel or Uber instead, since the airport drop rates are the same.

My late booking was handled quickly. I booked on booking.com at 11:30 pm and arrived at 12:30 am, and they had everything ready. The entrance is impressive, the rooms have chairs and a study table, plus two separate chairs and a table by the bed. The geyser worked and the toilets were good, though the lift is very cramped. We ordered tea and buttered toast for breakfast, and it was nice. The hotel is close to NDLS railway station: from platform 1, come outside and go right along the main road for about 200 metres to find a building marked vertically with Vinayak, though the V was missing this time, so it said inayak. Don't hire an auto or taxi, or they'll charge at least Rs 200 for nothing.
