The taxi cost was outrageous too. A pickup advertised as free ended up costing 1000 rupees, while an Uber XL costs 300. The driver wouldn't give a receipt and kept asking for a tip, saying he was poor and hungry. We barely slept. There was awful street noise, plus shouting and banging in the hallways all night. The beds were ancient, hard, and dirty, with chunks missing from the mattress. The AC looked about 30 years old, though we didn't need it in November. The room was crawling with roaches and other bugs, and there was no running water, so we couldn't shower or flush the toilet. They demanded cash up front and charged $37 for a premium room we paid $33 for, even though the room seemed worth $12 at most. We booked through Booking.com and got nothing like the room shown. The booking photos were fake. We arrived after dark and had few options. We paid for breakfast but couldn't bring ourselves to eat there with all the roaches. We left as soon as we could. Awful in every way. Do not stay here.

I've slept on dirt floors in village homes and been more comfortable. After visiting multiple countries on four continents, this was the worst hotel I've found. There was nothing I liked. The rooms across from mine had four to six men each, making noise late into the night. Staff did nothing, so I finally had to tell them to be quiet myself. The advertised free drop-off wasn't free either. They tried to charge me 400, so I got a taxi and paid 200. The place was filthy: roaches, mold in the bathroom, decaying water fixtures, and sheets marked with oil or grease, or maybe bodily fluids. The old grey towel looked like it might once have been white. The closet was filthy and had no hangers. The AC blew warm air that smelled like rotten urine and made a loud noise. Its remote wouldn't turn it off, so I had to unplug it. The overhead fan had just one speed, full blast right over the bed. There wasn't even a cup or kettle in the room, although the booking ad said there was. Look at the pictures I posted. You've been warned!

Cockroaches were crawling everywhere in the room, even on the bed. It was also untidy and unhygienic, and seepage on the walls left a damp, musty smell. The staff were unprofessional and didn't respond to requests. A chair, table, and electric kettle were listed when I booked, but none were provided. I asked for a chair more than once and was completely ignored. The stay fell well below any reasonable standard for comfort or cleanliness. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, and would tell others to find a better option.

We found cockroaches in the room, which was very dirty. It made the stay really uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I left Hotel Stay Villa only three hours after checking in. The room was dirty and smelled so bad that I started getting a headache. Then I noticed mold all over the ceiling. There were insects too, and the hygiene was awful. I got half my money back, which was the one good thing, though honestly I should have received a full refund. Avoid this place.
