Hotel The Ventus - A boutique Hotel

I couldn’t sleep because the windows weren’t soundproof. One had gaps and was slightly open, and I couldn’t shut it. Noise from a logistics or courier company went on until midnight. The area also felt shady and unsafe, and didn’t feel like the capital city at all. The room wasn’t close to a normal deluxe room, despite the high price for a superior room with breakfast. The pictures online seemed fake. They first gave me the lowest category room, then upgraded me to a slightly bigger one after I asked. They didn’t provide the welcome drink they claim to offer, and seemed unsure whose name the room was booked under. The dining area was unhygienic, with mice roaming around, and the rooms felt like a dharamshala. At checkout, the receptionist tried to charge GST on a prepaid booking. I was very disappointed. I’d never plan a visit to this hotel or area.

There were little hairs on the bed, and I spotted cockroaches in the washroom. The room also smelled strongly of smoke and had a foul odor, almost like a dead rat. It was a disturbing, unhygienic stay, nowhere near deserving a 3-star rating.

I booked online, but when I arrived they said the hotel was full and sent me to a nearby place in a filthy lane. I was travelling with a child, and it felt like they took advantage of that. They charged me extra for the room I’d booked, then gave me a third-class room without the facilities shown in the photos. The online pictures and management seemed fake, and they lied about everything. I wouldn’t recommend staying even if it were free. Don’t book here if you want to protect your money, time, experience, and trip. I wish there were a zero or negative star option.

The bathroom was completely unhygienic, and cleanliness was lacking throughout. The bedsheets and pillows were very dirty and smelled bad, so sleeping was uncomfortable. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel.
