Hotel Udhav Palace

The manager was very cooperative, but the cleanliness needs a lot of improvement. Cockroaches were seen, and used food plates sat in the passage for over 12 hours. They caused a bad smell in the passage and lifts. The hotel was just okay.

The staff were friendly, behaved well, and the food service was good. The location is convenient, just a few metres from the railway station, metro station, Sadar Market, and other places. I paid 1200 for one night in an AC room, which seemed fair for the price. But hygiene and cleanliness were poor. The washroom was rusty and dusty, as if it hadn’t been used for a long time, and it didn’t have proper lighting. There weren’t many charging points either, just one smartphone charging slot in the room, so with more than one person you have to wait. The switches weren’t fixed to the board, and wires were bulging out. Check these things before confirming.

The manager was extremely rude and even fought with and mistreated our family. When we asked for anything in the room, he said nothing would be provided and told us to complain to whoever we wanted. They didn’t even provide plates for dinner. The staff were disrespectful to customers, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Delhi, especially families. It was a nightmare for hospitality.

The rooms and washrooms were unclean, and the place felt unhygienic. They charged above MRP for products, so it felt like they were just looting us. Worst service ever. Don’t go.
