I arrived at York Hotel Legacy in Delhi around 5 pm on February 4th 2026, planning to stay two nights. They couldn’t find my reservation at first, and after I was told the room was still being cleaned, someone finally showed me in at about 6 pm. It wasn’t the room I’d booked, and it had no street-facing window. The small window on the other side looked into a filthy, dark service area full of wiring. I couldn’t shut the shutters again and was worried there might be rats. They hadn’t given me a key and asked me to wait while they looked for one, but the bellboy could let himself in with a master key. There was no inside latch either, so I didn’t feel safe. They moved me to the room I had booked after I complained, but it wasn’t very clean, and by then I’d decided to return to the hotel I’d stayed at before. Hotels.com refused my refund. The York Legacy ad also claims there’s a 24-hour airport shuttle, parking, an onsite spa, and full breakfast, but none of those are true. And if you see a review from Satish, he’s actually staff.

For the price, the room condition and cleanliness weren’t good. I booked a Deluxe room, but even basics like a brush and shampoo weren’t provided. The breakfast had no variety either.

I couldn’t give zero stars, so it’s one. We stayed two nights in their best room, the double deluxe family room, and paid the full amount at check-in. Then at checkout they demanded another 500 as taxes. The reception desk was shameless about it. There was no hot water at all, and while the lobby and outside looked like a three-star place, the rest was a disaster. The room was still under construction, with big holes in the ceiling.

The place is in a dangerous, filthy area, and vehicles can’t reach it, so you have to carry your luggage. There’s a dirty smell throughout the property. No hot water, a filthy toilet, no bathroom lights, a broken hand bidet, and dirty sheets and towels. I urge Booking.com to remove properties like this from its app, or people will lose trust in it. The photos and reviews online are fake, so don’t believe them. Please don’t stay here, even for free.
