OPO The Royal Residency

The food was average compared with Delhi food, but I had a good stay overall. The staff were polite, especially the cleaning team, with Mr. Atul kumar and his team doing a great job. Room service was very good and responded to one call.

It's about a 20-minute trip to the airport from this hotel, but the stay itself was a poor experience. The room card holder didn't work, the room supply kept tripping, the bathroom door was too tight to close, and the AC wasn't cooling. Staff came whenever I asked, though they couldn't fix the problems straight away.

I was travelling solo and had booked one night. At check-in, the POS MACHINE didn't work, so I waited at least 15 minutes for the payment to go through. My room was on the 2nd flloor, and around 11:40/45AM the whole corridor smelled of ciggarette as soon as the lift opened. I ordered an ice bucket and was charged for it, which seemed ridiculous. Then the room service guy asked me to "humein bhi sewa ka mauka de" for alcohol, since I'd only ordered the bucket. I went along with it, but two cans of Budweiser Premium cost me 1100. Please donot give them sewa ka mauka.

We had nowhere else to go because it was late, so we ended up taking the room, but it wasn't the accommodation I'd booked and paid for. I had reserved Opo The Royal Residen and paid for airport pick-up. Instead, on arrival, I was taken to another hotel called Opo. The room could only be reached by walking through a kitchen, which was completely unacceptable. We complained right away and explained this wasn't what we had paid for. They said the two hotels were the same and close to one another, but that missed the point: it wasn't the hotel I had chosen. I'm very disappointed and would appreciate a proper explanation and a resolution.
