The signs everywhere promised a sanitized stay, and OYO's verified sanitized stay listing made me book a room for one night at INR 900. I was looking for somewhere safe during the pandemic, but the room was a huge disappointment. The sheets were dirty and clearly hadn't been changed after the previous guests. There were Paan stains on the floor, the AC was far too noisy, and all the toilet taps and faucets were faulty. They hadn't provided any toiletries, not even handwash. I asked to move rooms. They said it would take 20 mins, but it took two hours. I stood in the first room the whole time because sitting on the used sheets felt like a risk of catching the virus. The next room had the same problems. I made them change the sheets twice in front of me, but they still looked dirty, and the quilt and pillows were the same ones used by previous guests. Nothing was sanitized. They only wiped the floor once with lizol, and that was it. There were Lifebuoy sanitized stay signs in the rooms too, but nothing had been sanitized. Even without the pandemic, this would have been a bad place to stay. The customer service was just pathetic.
