OYO Townhouse 010 La Paradise

We booked 14 rooms and a conference room for a corporate event, with guests coming from different cities. Some had been travelling since 6 am, and then faced a long wait at the hotel. Even though check-in was after 12 pm, each guest waited 30-60 minutes. The lift was being serviced for over 30 minutes at the same time, so guests had to take the stairs after waiting to check in. The reception area AC wasn’t working, making the wait even hotter. We asked several times for tea there, but none came. Tea requested for the rooms also hadn’t arrived after an hour and multiple reminders. The front desk manager showed no apology for the delay or heat and acted arrogantly. He said, “30-40 minutes toh kahin bhi lagte hain check in mei, kara toh raha hun”! The conference hall AC barely seemed to run, and the room became suffocating. Water wasn’t brought to the event until after it had started, despite repeated requests. The bottles were deformed and couldn’t stand upright, so they looked awful lying on the tables. Bottles stored in the conference room, stairs, and elsewhere were only cleared in front of guests. Extra chairs were left around the hall despite several requests to remove them, and the chairs at the tables in use weren’t arranged. I had to arrange them myself. Covers couldn’t be put on two tables, which ruined the decor. Dinner service was poor enough that Clovia staff had to step in and help. Breakfast was supposed to be ready by 7:30 am, and guests came down then, but we waited more than 45 minutes. The tea and coffee were lukewarm, and the food quality was awful. I shared this feedback with management, but they seemed more concerned with collecting payment than improving the guest experience.

The room gives you a comfortable bed and clean washroom, but that’s about all I’d recommend it for. The kitchen is very basic, and even tea can take half an hour. Reception didn’t seem professional either. I had told them the night before that I’d be checking out, yet the bill had the wrong amount and someone else’s name. The WiFi didn’t work.

I put two guests up here, and late at night another guest walked into their room, claiming it was his. There was shouting and commotion at reception through the night. They had no running hot water, and when asked, staff said they could provide a bucket of hot water. Breakfast was well below standard too. This was a horrible experience, and not what I expected from an OTH.

The service was painfully slow, and even a simple bread and butter breakfast took 40-50 minutes. The rooms are basic and poorly maintained. Cushions, mattresses, and towels all needed replacing. I wouldn’t pay more than 2k for a room here.
