SPOT ON 40016 Hotel Vandana

There’s parking right in front, which was the one useful thing about the place. During my stay I saw mice three or four times. The room had poor lighting, there’s no lift, and tap water was scarce. No room service either, and the toilets were dirty and unhygienic. There was no hot or warm water available in the bathroom.

The reservation was a problem, and the owner did nothing to help. When we tried speaking to him, he just walked away and left us talking on our own. In the room, the bedding and blanket smelled used, there were little cockroaches, and the bathroom was dirty and covered in mold. The window glass was broken, and the shower had no hot water. They told us we could only get hot water at 6 am. The whole hotel was filthy, and it was the worst hotel experience of my life. I can’t recommend it.

We had booked through the Oyo app for an AC room with the listed amenities. At arrival, we were told to wait four hours while the rooms were being equipped. After that wait, they gave us a room on the fifth floor with none of the amenities. It looked like a servant’s room. The rooms were very bad, and these people seem fake. Be very careful booking in the Paharganj area.

We left after just an hour. My colleague and I had booked the place to freshen up, but the room was tiny and the washroom filthy. It was unhygienic, and there’s no lift. At checkout, the receptionist took our phone to see the booking ID and rated the restaurant himself. A really bad experience, and I wouldn’t recommend booking here.
