UNV Hostel

UNV hostel is still the cleanest place I’ve found in Paharganj, and it’s close to the Railway Station, which makes it handy for a night before a train. I’ve stayed before and had a good experience, so I’m still rating it highly for cleanliness. This time my booking wasn’t honored because the place was full, and I was put in a dorm for the same price. I got lucky and had the four-bed room to myself, which the owner seemed to present as a selling point, though I didn’t need that. I also had to ask someone to turn on the geyser because I couldn’t do it myself under the dorm rules. Since I was leaving at 5 am while everyone was asleep, I couldn’t get a hot shower. It wasn’t a comfortable stay. Be careful booking through booking.com, since prepaid bookings from other sites may get priority.

First time in Delhi, and I picked UNV with some doubts. The rooms were fully air-conditioned and the ambience felt classy, all at a cheap rate. The receptionist was really nice, I liked him a lot. Thanks, brother, and thank you UNV.

The staff are friendly and the room was okay, but the bathroom wasn’t very clean. The hostel sits in a dirty, smelly, noisy part of main bazar. I’d suggest staying for just one night, no longer.

The rooms are fairly clean and the service is good, but the hostel is on one of the dustiest, dirtiest roads. That’s why I wouldn’t come back.
