The rooms were dirty, the staff arrogant, and management seemed to have no integrity. They exploit devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham and prey on their faith and helplessness for profit. We were charged ₹1200-₹1400 for just 2-3 hours in an AC room, already ridiculously overpriced. After taking full payment, they refused to turn on the AC, with excuses about “electricity issues.” To me, that was blatant cheating, trapping tired pilgrims who need a few hours of rest. My experience at Hotel Shiv Dham was disgusting and full of fraud. This looks like a scam operation running right under the authorities’ noses. I strongly warn people not to book Hotel Shiv Dham. Save your money, time, and peace of mind. Deoghar is a holy place, and hotels like this are a disgrace to it. Authorities should immediately look into this open scam in the name of hospitality.
